I went to the Petersen auto museum last Wednesday evening, in Los Angeles. What an amazing place. I highly recommend it.

Every time in Los Angeles I stop in. Price is reasonable, and they rotate the exhibits often. There are several great car museums in LA, one near the airport even lets you yard drive some of the stuff. Best by far is the nethercutt collection in Sylmar. Just north of LA, it's Free admission, and they give special tours of the resto shop if you call in advance.
