tom'sB2B Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 I am in the process of rebuilding my three speed transmission. The speedo drive gear just slides on the back of the main pinion? Is it supposed to be tight on the pinion? Mine just spins there on the drive pinion. What am I missing? What makes it engage the drive pinion to spin the speedometer? I'm so confused. Quote

tom'sB2B Posted September 22, 2012 Author Report Posted September 22, 2012 Thanks for the help. I found that when I tighten the yolk on the pinion, it is enough to hold the speedo gear tight too. Whether or not its the correct way, it works and its good enough for me. I had also needed to know where that new speedo gear rubber seal goes....now I know..thanks for that thread desotodav Quote
