Hey Guys,

I've been working on trying to get my headlights working on my '52, and im pretty sure that the switch is shot. Does anyone have a working one that they want to get rid of, maybe we can make a sale. Or does anyone know of a similar replacement that's easier to find?

Thanks,

-Chris

Check your hi/low switch also.

I checked that too and im going to need to get another one of those also, looks like NAPA carries a replacement dimmer switch.

During my High School days drivng my b1b at night. Once in awhile everylight in the truck would blackout. It would eventually come back on. If I remember right (30 years ago) there was a breaker thingy-bob on the switch that would overheat. I replaced the switch and all my problems went away.

Yup they do have a circuit breaker on the back. Mine is not the original switch cause the guy before me must of switched it out, but it does have a fuse on the back. I checked the fuse and it was good but the switch itself is busted, so im hoping that a new one will solve my problems. I installed a new dimmer switch last night so that rules it out.

I was having the same blackout trouble. Seemed that adding an additional brake light and dual element blinkers all around was enough to trip the breaker. My friend had a friend that was an electrical engineer. They suggested adding an additional (I think its 30amp) breaker and wiring them in parallel. Problem solved!
