Guest jjmorrse Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 I will be doing some bodywork on my 54 2 door club coupe, and the floors are the typical wisconsin style (Is road salt an ingredient in swiss cheese?) Does anyone know of a good supplier of rocker panels and floor pans for 54s? Right now I am working through brake upgrades, but I want to have my next project lined out. Thanks in advance. Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 You might try the Plymouth Doctor. The ad says that they stop at 52. http://www.plymouthdoctor.com/ Or J.C. Whitney http://www.jcwhitney.com/ Dennis Quote
bob_amos Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 I purchased front floor pans and the insert for my 54 wagon from R-Car. Not sure the address anymore but I see references to him on the web all the time. Try a search for him. Great quality, reasonable prices and he's a very helpful and friendly guy. Quote
47heaven Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 I just purchased my front floor pans (2 sides and one center) from Precision Body in Iowa. I first checked out the Plymouth Doctor, but he was way out of my league. Through Precision Body, which is a link on the P15-D24 site, I paid $280 +s/h for all three pieces. That's almost half of what Plymouth Doctor wanted to charge just for the center pan that goes over the transmission. Also, They are also very nice, sturdy and professionally done just like the originals from very good 16 or 18 gauge steel. Give Gil a call at 515-288-1603 and see what he has for ya. They're out of Iowa. Tell him Darin from California sent you. Good luck! Quote
Merle Coggins Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 the floors are the typical wisconsin style (Is road salt an ingredient in swiss cheese?) Hey!! We resemble that remark. Actually, road salt isn't a main ingredient in cheese, but I believe it is a major ingredient in asphalt. However, they seem to only add it after it's been laid down. Merle Quote

Seriously, They have a page under chrysler products here; http://www.autobodyspecialt.com:80/ And they show the 53-54 plymouth/dodge models..... I bought my inner rockers from them.... Happy with their service, just not happy with my purchase because I didn't know that the inner rocker was just a bend with a flange.... could've made it myself (which I will do with my other side...) but it is not their fault... its mine....
