furiousgeorge Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 My '49 1/2 ton came with some aftermarket 3 spoke steering wheel that has the hub gob-welded to it, so I've been looking for a stock one. What years/models/makes will fit? I have a message from a fellow who is putting in a tilt column in his '52 IH, and is going to give me his wheel for free (though it's a bit of a drive to get it), but will it fit? Google won't give me a clear picture of it. Quote
mechresto Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 There is no steering wheel "interchange" listing, at least none that I've ever seen. as far as the entire assembly, you are restricted to '48 & '49 B1B, C, D, 1/2-1ton conventional cab, '48-'49 B1B, C, D 1/2-1ton with flat face cowl (early type), '48-'49 B1B,C .D 1/2-1ton with flat face cowl (late type). pflaming Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) I am cleaning my steering wheel, it is OE. On one post are these 'numbers', as near as I can tell. (12 T 2165) These are in a oblong indentation and 6 - SW - 79. Put the attachment on your screensaver and the numbers are clearer. I hope this is helpful. Edited April 9, 2012 by pflaming Quote
