48 1/2 ton short box box braces

Hello All, Hoping someone has the answer (someone usually does!)

I'm starting to piece my truck box back together. There are 4 2'' c-channel braces that are bolted across the truck frame and from there the bed material is screwed down into these 4 pieces. My question is: I have 3 pieces that are just over 48'' long and one that is just over 40'' long. Where does the short one go? At the rear? Front? 2nd? 3rd? Any insight will be helpful.

If I am remembering correctly, the small one goes at the very end of the frame and is attached to the box, but doesn't get bolted completely through to the frame. I also think that on all the braces, the c-channel faces towards the back. Does that make sense? Maybe someone will have some pictures for you. Good luck.
