Hello everyone,

I'm down to my last few parts that I need to locate to complete the project. I found a drivers side Sun Visor Arm yesterday and I though I might try on this web site to see if someone out there would have an avaliable Passenger side Sun Visor Am that they might part with. I have a 1953 B4B and I believe the anything in the 48-53 years will work. I realize they are dificult to locate, but someone in this group should have knowledge of at least one. Maybe?

Does anyone know if any other Dodge cars, vans, buses or such used the same application of Visor Arm? Maybe something to get a wider selection of sources from...

1948-50 is one visor style (uses a chrome bracket and chrome arm) and 1951-53 is another (uses a painted bracket of a slightly different shape from 48-50 and a bare metal arm). Both mount in the same holes, but I would aim for the style of the one you already got as either style of passenger side is equally hard to find. Also the sheet metal part that the visor mounts to is unique to each style of arm.

To simplify fit and function I would aim for the correct part. One example of a visor that used the same bracket as the 1951-53 trucks is the 1954-55 C-1 style Dodge trucks. But the arm on the C-1s is different and the part that holds the visor is different. That style visor bracket is not designed to be serviced so even if you got a 1951-53 arm I am not sure it would be worth the effort to get it into a 1954 bracket. Not to mention the trouble of finding a 1954-55 C-1 passenger side bracket in the first place.

Good luck,

Eric

I understand the right hand visor seems to be hard to find. I wonder if it is a regional thing because 4 of my 8 trucks have them.

Sorry Merle, If I had an extra I would give it to you for all your knowledge you give to this site. One is in the camper, one in the semi, one goes back in my b1b and I am keeping one for another b1b I want to redo next for my daughter.

I will keep looking for another.
