Denise Tripp Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Where can I purchase a horn button to mount on steering column of 1951 Dodge pick up? Thank you for your reply. Quote
Allan Parkhurst Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 I tried to find part. Try these locations. For a B3B the part number is 1272412 I found it at WWW.MMPAR.COM it shows in stock. I don't know cost but I paid $45 for my B1B. I also found it at WWW.ROBERTSMOTORPARTS.COM it is listed under Electrical & related parts part # T202 to fit 37-57 years cost $37. Try these. Good luck! Denise Tripp Posted April 14, 2007 Author Report Posted April 14, 2007 Thank you Alan for the info. on the horn button. I have already ordered a few things from Roberts motors but did not notice the horn button. Will check the catalog again. Saw a pic. of your truck-very sharp! I am anxious to drive my '51 truck. The men are putting the engine in this week and all body work is primed. My truck will be red with black running boards, also. It was originally dark green. There is still enough work to do, but hopefully I will have her on the road by June. Thanks again for the info. Denise Quote

Denise Denise, if you're doing a restoration the horn button that Roberts sells is not the correct one. Its just a button. The 51 B3 series trucks should have a horn ring. Mitchell Motors (www.mmpar.com) does have the correct one available. It'll probably be pretty pricey though. I don't know if the earlier horn button that Roberts sells will fit a 51 steering wheel but I would imagine it would. Brad Quote
Merle Coggins Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 Welcome to the forum Denise. I believe we spoke on the phone a while back? Sounds like your truck is progressing nicely. Hope to see you out and about in it sometime. Merle Quote
