Tom Tom, it ain't for a 48 Chrysler, it is for a 56 Dodge /Fargo truck, it is a 12 volt... But will try your suggestion....thanx Fred Quote

Nope, he had a 64 Chevy Panel ,which I drove many times years back, and a 50s Stude truck. I have seen my old Chum in many years. He played wide recceiver for the UCLA Bruins back in the 60s..... 55 Fargo Posted October 25, 2011 Author Report Posted October 25, 2011 Was able to buy 4 brushes locally, they were Ford type brushes, they fit. I had to file down the terminal clips a bit for a better seat, but that was not difficult. I was also in need of the brush clip springs, and they supplied those too, installed on the bench. I teseted the starter, cranks nice, and is back on the engine.... Quote
55 Fargo Posted October 25, 2011 Author Report Posted October 25, 2011 Hooked up my super heavy duty booster cables I bought over 30 years ago, the starter cranked over the engine very nicely. Lets hope it continues, as I am the tech who installed the brushes and springs. Quote
