Juday1951 Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 It's been awhile since I've been around these parts, so forgive me on that. However, I'm wondering if there's any place that has these parts made up for replacement? I crawled under the truck tonight to see the front passenger hose had come loose from the brake, dangling there next to the shock. Also, I found oil all over the inside of the wheel, but that's another problem I need to figure out...Anyways, I figure it's about time to replace all the rubber hoses (for reassurance purposes). Any leads will help tremendously! Thanks, Kevin Quote
Jim Shepard Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 It's been a while since I looked at his catalog, but I think Roberts carries all that stuff. Probably Vintage Power Wagons and others, too. Quote
Rusty O'Toole Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Your local parts store should be able to get them in a couple of days. Quote

Dodgeb4ya Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 (edited) Front hose after market #'s are H6222 or BH 6222. Rear hose is a H4900 or a BH 4900. Did a quick search and came up with this....http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Brake-Hydraulic-Hose-Tru-Torque_18650279-P_228_R%7CGRPBRHYAMS____ They ( Advance) have them both $23.79 fronts and $17.29 for the rears. There are two grades of hoses-professional grade and import low grade. Take your pick-the ones shown are most likely the cheaper grade because of the price. These cheaper grade of hoses are what a lot of antique car parts dealers are selling at a high mark up now on ebay too. Good luck! Bob Edited October 3, 2011 by Dodgeb4ya Quote
Rusty O'Toole Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 Never buy cheap brake parts. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 Never buy cheap brake parts. It's going to be really hard to buy high quality grade brake parts for our old cars. Most of the old car parts are being manufactured in China seems like -most all of inferior quality. I have had to buy some old Ford brake parts, all cheap CHINA crap. Right from Kantor. The brake drums were so out of balance that when on the brake lathe to be trued up the arbor rotated to the same position every time-way out of balance brake drum. Thats what we deserve from CHINA! Stupid americans to put up with this junk- I would not have put them on but the customer and myself couldn't locate good parts. Quote
