bach4660 Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 (edited) I searched through lots of posts on Kingpins, but still am not sure. The shop manual I have for 1950 lists .795 diameter kingpins and .936 and 1.12" . The ones in my truck at .795 but all of the napa/rock auto etc list .873. Even with the difference in before and after serial numbers there is still is not list for .795 So does anyone have a part number or source for .795 or do you machine shop ream to fit .873? Dodgeb4ya Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 King pin diameter increased from .795" to .873" in late 1950. B,C and D models. See notes (3 and 4) for production serial # changes. Bob Quote
austinsailor Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 Here is the NAPA number for the kingpins you need. 2621231 They won't have a listing, but they are in their system. When I bought a set about 16 months ago they had 2 somewhere, I think in a warehouse in Ill. The cost more than the newer ones, about $80, but I guess they knew they were getting scarce. Might be more in their system, they'll just have to look. Quote
