Gareth......welcome to the world of mongrel Oz parts.........lol...............these internal spline handles were used on Oz mopars from about 1938/9 to the late 40's, Oz Fords from 1940 to the mid 50's I have been told also used them and the spline is normally recognised here in Oz as FX/FJ Holden as they also used it...........My 1940 Oz Dodge Sedan had the mongrels, but I replaced them with a good clean set off an FX Holden. FX's used white internal knobs on the winders, FJ's used a black knob with a chrome button in the centre....apartf from that FX/FJ usedc the same door and winder. I have found the name "Linard" stamped into one of my Dodge door locks, this company apparently was in Melbourne, Victoria and was mentioned in an article a few years ago in Oz Restored Cars Magazine. They went out of business in the 50's I believe...............As far as I know NO USA based car used these bastard handles...........I personally hate the things, but....the FX/FJ ones are the best bet for a decent set......lol..........from what I have seen the 3/8" square drive setup was used here in Oz on Oz mopars from the early 50's....have attached a pic of the FX ones on my car.......and that chrome piece between the handle and the door upholstery is a piece from the local plumbing supply co..........it goes behind a tap...........lol.....and finally I have had my car since 1971 and have yet to see anything better than the Holden ones but am open to suggestions......lol......luckily the 41 Plymouth I have was US sourced so had the square drive handles........lol......regards, andyd

Gareth, only real downside to the FX/FJ handles is that they tend to be pimply due to the diecast, also a good FX set with the white knobs are hard to find, the FJ ones are more common now, I don't think they have been repo'd either so its all original..........swap meets are the best place to find them now........andyd

Gareth, I'll check with a mate of mine that has a heap of NOS FJ/FX stuff in his possession. I wasn't aware that the handles were for the old Holden's - good job Andy.
