I started my quiet ride interior installation today. Well!!!!!!!!!!!!! after many frustrating attempts we figured out the left & right side of the headliner was sewed in backwards. We had to cut the stiching and an install the side pieces seperately. It turned out looking better than the piece of material they use to connect the top to the sides. I did not have the time to send it back for them and redo. The simple installation ended up taking 7 hours for 2guys and I only have the headliner done. I think the quality control completely dropper the ball on this.

I thought working on these old truck was supposed to be "relaxing".

Wow!!!I had the same problem when I did my installation in December(drove me nuts) and made a call to the Quiet Ride folks. They told me that it was a one time error and it would be rectified(obviously not).I installed my headliner without the 2 side pieces and am now trying to figure out a way to attach them to the headliner....did you sew them on properly before the installation?BTW the quality of the material is great!

I still don't have the picture posting thing down very good, but somehow I got it to work. I had a piece of black edging from a box of misfit stuff I bought from an auction. I believe it has something to do with a firetruck interior. It worked well after I realized the problem.

I called Quiet ride Tuseday and left a message to call me back I had a problem, no return call so I called again this morning. Still no return call. So I went on line and found there website. Looking at what they have to offer it shows there is 2 different door panels. one for 48-50 and a different one for 51-53. My truck is a 53 and that is what I clearly told them at the time of ordering. I received and installed the 48-50 model. I noticed they had a different shape then the ones from Roberts but I assumed Roberts were wrong. Never assume!!!!!

It would be great if the customer service part would return a phone message.

I always corresponded with them via email and always got quick responses from them. However, it sounds like something strange is going on out there.

The '48-'50 door panels were copied from my originals. Before I asked them to make them they only offered the '51-'53 panels for '48-'53. I had a few other issues with the items that I received but I was happy with how they resolved everything. I also found out that I was the first to purchase and use the Pilot-House interior from them since they acquired the patterns from somewhere and added them to their catalog. I was the Guinea Pig that helped them sort out everything. Now it sounds like they've got it all mixed up again.

I had no idea there was a difference in interior door panels, I know the difference in the exterior of the door crease. I will have to look at my other trucks to see.

I am very happy with how it turned out, just not impressed with how I got there. Thanks for the lead Merle.
