Joe Flanagan Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 NAPA sells them. About 80 bucks. Factory lubricated. Mine was shot, too. I've been very happy with the NAPA replacement. Quote

Joe Flanagan Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 I've never heard anything about their pump. Maybe someone else will chime in. Quote
Martin53Cranbrook Posted June 27, 2011 Author Report Posted June 27, 2011 so i have a spare water pump i am going to try my hand at rebuilding and see if i can do it cheaper than a new one wish me luck Quote
Don Coatney Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 i wonder how it compaires to the Rockauto.com one for $46 I have not bought anything from Rockauto for several years but I was happy with them for the last thing I bought. I have heard that they have increased there shipping costs and they do not advertise the costs. So I would get a shipping price from them before placing an order. Quote
captden29 Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 joe, is the NAPA pump a brand new or rebuilt? i am not sure if i am getting good water flow from my rebuilt pump and maybe a new one would help my running hot problem. capt den Quote
Martin53Cranbrook Posted June 28, 2011 Author Report Posted June 28, 2011 i pulled off the stock water pump and without a doubt the bearing is toast, but now i ran into another issue, i can't get the fan off, do i need to use a puller? Quote
Niel Hoback Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Remove the four bolts and just wiggle it around, its rusted on. There is no attachment, it just slides on. Quote

I can tell you that my pump seems to keep my engine nice and cool. Of course, I haven't actually driven it yet but I do let it idle for long periods in 90+ degree weather. Quote
