Seal part numbers neede for '47 sedan

I'm planning to change rear pinion seal and trans output seal on our '47 2dr with Fluid drive. The last time I checked into them I was told by the parts warehouse that I would need to pull the seals and look for a part number.

I don't want to pull the seals and find out I can't get them and/or have the car disassembled for several weeks.

Anybody know the part numbers off hand?

Check with Andy Bernbaum, I just got a pinion seal for my '40 P-10, I didn't need a part number when I talked to him, just told him what I needed.

You're probably talking about a 47 Dodge because I don't think that Plymouth offered fluid drive. But if it is a 46-48 Plymouth:

663602 Drive Pinion Bearing Oil Seal Assembly

Interchange/Vendor:

NAPA NOS 18880

670752 Mainshaft rear bearing oil seal assembly

Interchange/Vendor:

NAPA NOS 15620

If you are dealing with a Dodge, I'd suggest you get a parts book for it. It is amazing the number of parts you can find at, say, NAPA Online by entering the Chrysler part number and looking up if they have an interchange.

By the way, the pinion and transmission rear seals for your '40 P-10 are the same as for the P-15 that I gave in my other post.

670752 lists in my parts book for 40-54 3sp standard, less overdrive, Plym, Dodge, DeSoto, Chry

663602 shows 1271104 as another # at collectorsautosupply

my book shows 1271104 used on 37-54 Plym, Dodge, DeSoto, Chry

1271104 also crosses to NOS 18880 at NAPA Online, same as I had for 663602. I've just added 1271104 as a "supercedes" number for the 663602 in my database.... Thank you for the information.
