Labrauer Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Anybody out there can send me a pic of the clip that holds the molding below the door on a 48 plymouth coupe. I have a place where I might be able to get them but don't quite know what they look like. The place is http://www.restorationspecialties.com . Thanks, Larry Brauer:confused: Quote
desoto1939 Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 I would first suggest that instead of using the old style metal clips convert over to plastic clips. 1. Plastic will not rust 2. You can adapt platic clips to fit 3. go to a auto paint store that supplies aut finish paint ask to see their supply of clips find a clip that fits snuggly into the modling and then make sure the size of the plastic plug will be a snug fit into the hole inthe door and body side. 4. Then just put the clips in place inthe molding line then up to the holes and then push the modling into the appriprate holes. 5. Not rusting and easier to replace 6. Know one will evey see the clip so go the easy route. Rich Hartung Quote
Labrauer Posted June 7, 2011 Author Report Posted June 7, 2011 Thanks for the suggestion on the plastic clips Richard. I just might have to do that if I don't hear back from the place that I called. Larry Brauer Quote
