55 Fargo Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 (edited) Hi all, just returned from a 10 mile drive, nice, but really windy out. I have a question regarding the glass bowl fuel filters. I noticed mine as about 1/3 full of fuel on return from my rive. I figure should be okay, as the float and needle should be holding back pressure if the carb bowl is full. Then I think, should this not be full, as I am revving engine , as the float may be closed, this filter bowl should be completely full of gas. I suspect the float is sticking open, or my fuel pump is weak. Is this normal, or do I have a problem here with carb or fuel pump.....thanx Fred PS heres a pic for you turkey lovers, took this 2 days ago after a late night spring snow.. Merle Coggins Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I've noticed the same thing on mine. It allways appears 1/2 full, but the engine runs just fine. I assume that is an optical illusion. Merle Quote
