grey beard Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 Two weeks ago I posted an offer for parts from a B1B that was located in Montana. That truck deal has since evaporated and I cannot reach the owner. Today I found another B1B right here in my home town of New Holland, PA. It is for sale for $500. It is complete with a PA title. This truck is red, and the box is very straight. The floor is gone. Rear fenders and running boards are all better than mine. Front fenders have quite a bit of bondo in them. It is a 5-window cab and the floor is patched on both sides. The top and bottom stainless grille strips are perfect, the next to bottom one is missing and the next to top has one kotch in it. Gauges look rough, but speedo looks find. Three of the four dash knobs are original. Rear bumper is there but looks like a piece of C channel. Front bumper is pretty nice and has two original bumper guards on it. Druve train is intact - 3 speed. Wheels are 15-inch with radial tires. No hub caps or trim rings are evident. If enough folks want parts from this truck, I will buy it and parcel it out. If one of you here on this forum want to buy the whole thing, I will put you in touch with the owner and you can deal for it yourself. I’ll be glad to be your eyes at this end or help in any way I can. Just contact me off line if you have interest. Dave Erb New Holland, PA Quote
Merle Coggins Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 I'd be interested in the rear fenders, Dave. Would you have a way to ship the larger parts out, or would we have to come get them? Merle Quote
Tim Brown Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 Dave, I would be very interested in the bed, rear fenders and the running boards. The bottom grill bar would be a god sent. I also need the windshield trim and a few other interior trim pieces. I could come get the parts if you buy the truck or possibly buy it complete but it would be at least 2 weeks before I could get over there. I'm in southern Ohio, probably 300 miles away Tim Brown Waverly, Oh Quote
Jim Dohr Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 ...as mine are almost totally a loss. I'd take the brackets if they are in decent shape as well. Thanks. Jim Quote
Merle Coggins Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 Sounds like Tim has the most need for it, and might be the closest. I probably wouldn't be able to get out there to pick up parts or the whole truck, so Tim, it's all your's if you can work it out with Dave. Quote
Jim Dohr Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 I can get to New Holland but really only need the boards... Quote
Tim Brown Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 Jim Dohr, if your close enough to get this truck or just the boards go for it. I can come by boards later as I'm not that far along with my truck. Either way lets work out some kind of deal with Dave so we can all get some of what we need. Dave, are you considering buying the truck and parting it out. Tim Brown Quote
Permatex Pete Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Dave, I would be interested in purchasing the wheels. I live near Erie PA. Let me know. Pete Kunow Westfield NY Quote
Dennis_MN Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 I'm looking for a good front bumper. I'm also looking for a carburator that I can clean up and rebuild this winter. Dennis Sullivan Monticello, MN Quote
makkelsay Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 i might have a carb you can have...it definately needs a rebuild and to be cleaned....but you can have it for free if ya want it...its definately not garunteed to work though...but it is free Quote
makkelsay Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 those are some crappy pics of the carb...its real dirty... Quote
Dennis_MN Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 Based on your pictures, I think I better let this one pass. I really need one that is all together with the linkages and other stuff in place so that when I disassemble to rebuild it, I can reverse the order and have a shot at making it work. Thanks anyway Dennis Sullivan Quote
makkelsay Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 sorry bout it.....its how i got it so i was gonna just chuck it...but if anybody wants it...go for it...and i think i have the linkage and stuff...theres more stuff i just couldnt remember what it all looked like at the moment Quote
