Norm's Coupe Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Found the original instructions for installation of the fuel pump. Will throw them in the box too. Has a nice diagram of the various places you can hang the pump along with the instructions. Quote
Guest Dave Claussen Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Dave the modern mechanical pumps are ok. I've had the same one on my 46 pickup since 02 and its had plenty of 10% ethanol gas run through it. Ok, now I feel a little more confident of the new mechanical pump I put on my Chrysler 360. I was afraid I'd have to be replacing it on a regular basis and that's not the dependability I was counting on. 5 years and no problems is a little more like it. Thanks. Later, Dave Quote
grey beard Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 I just knowcked the pin out of the arm and removee the arm from my old pump. Then I boltede it to the block for a cover plate - no moving parts, and it sure looks original . . .JMHO:) Quote

billwillard Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 I used a valve from a chevy pickup that has two fule tanks. One side goes to the mechical pump and when you switch it to the other line it also turns on the backup elec pump. BILL Quote
