DollyDodge Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 I pulledy front window molding this weekend in preperation of replacing the front windows and rubber. On the bottom of the interior molding are 4 plugs, that sit on either side of the defroster vent. They are listed as 23-22-158, part number 1097-727 in the parts book. Any idea where I could get those? The ones in my truck are hard as a rock and falling a part. Quote
John-T-53 Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 These keep the defroster air blowing upward and out the gap instead of sideways inside the garnish trim. They were made of foam or sponge rubber. I replaced mine with some expanded foam that came out of a television box. You could use anything that's spongy, just cut it a tad bigger so it squishes down when you reinstall the trim. Quote
DollyDodge Posted March 31, 2011 Author Report Posted March 31, 2011 Thanks, I quessed they were keeping the air flow from the defroster on the window. was just hoping to find original parts. One of mine is in good enough shape that the numbers are still readable, but they are really hard. I might be able to cut some from some kind of foam so they fit well Thanks again Quote
