Hey guys, Probably next month when I get the time, I'm gonna start making my door panels. I know we've been through the door panel discussions before. A couple of months ago I bought masonite from Home Depot, some 1/8 inch foam padding and material from Joann Fabric. I just can't remember how to install the clips on the panels. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Tom

If yours is like the p15s the holes for the clips goes directly above or below( I had some of each) and the head of the clip will slide onto the panel the clip piece itself lines up with the hole. Do you have a picture of what your clips looks like? So far it sounds like you have the same materials list I used.

Tom,

I have the door panels off my D-34.

I'll take a few pics of the clips, mounting holes, etc., for you if that will help.

I can do that in about one hour and post them.

Regards,

Frank

Tom when I made mine I marked where the old holes were. Of course if you don't have a sample you won't have that luxury. The p15 ones had a rectangular hole with one edge sharing an edge of hole in the door. I remade my holes with I think a 3/8s spade bit as I don't know how to drill square holes.

Thanks to Ed and Frank for the great info.:) Besides the NOS clips I have, I also have a handful of newer style clips.(late 60's to early 70's) It looks like I've just gotta cut little slots for the clips to slide into. The same as my old Charger door panels.

Thanks again, Tom
