dutchmeister Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 Snapped off a rod bolt on my 1948 dodge 230cc. (Yes, yes, 45 ft. lbs I know!)Can't seem to find a source to replace. Found another 230cc, but the rod bolts were just a little longer. Any suggestions for where I can get another (or all 12)? Quote
Jim Yergin Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 Try Vintage Power Wagons. http://www.vintagepowerwagons.com/products/featured-parts-catalog.htm Jim Yergin Quote
dutchmeister Posted November 5, 2010 Author Report Posted November 5, 2010 Thanks Jim! I'll find out tomarrow if they have the right size. Quote
dutchmeister Posted December 5, 2010 Author Report Posted December 5, 2010 To anyone interested, the rod bolts were exactly what I needed. I've ordered twice now from Vintage, been happy both times. BTW I now use a lever type torque wrench and have had no further problems stretching or snapping off bolts. Quote
ptwothree Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Maybe the old bolts were ready to break anyway.....New rod bolts are a good thing! Quote
