Hey all , found a fairly complete 1950 Fargo 1/2 ton truck, priced reasonable, next to nothing infact.

I want to know if the 1950 1/2 ton frames are similar to the 1955.

I have a 1955 fargo 1/2 ton frame, complete with good running engine, trans and rear end, and front end in good shape.

I was thinking of either swapping the drive train in the truck, or popping the body onto the 1955 frame, once it's all cleaned up,and painted.

Anyone have any ideas?............Thanx Fred

Good find Fred. I believe the '55 C-Series frame is different than a B-Series chassis. I'm not sure what all is different, I think it's wider in some areas. Is the chassis on the '50 bad? Maybe you can just use the drive train from the '55 and slide it into the '50 chassis. Which engine/trans is in the '55 chassis?

It is a 251 long block as all Canuck engines are long block. It has a 3 spd trans, anda later model rearend, not sure from ?

I could always use the drivetrain as you say, at this point all isa maybe, the owner has a 52 Fargo1/2 ton in decent form about $2000.00 he wants for that 1
