grey beard Posted August 22, 2010 Report Share Posted August 22, 2010 After much agony and experimentation, I was able to remedy a very rough light throttle no-load cruise surge and stagger problem with my own Pilothouse - after instaling the VPW pcv system - by driling out my main jet from the original 55 size down to a number 50 drill size. Now it cruises smooth as silk. Go figure . . . Guess the added air leak from the pcv leaned out the main metering circuit just a tad too much. Took me a long time to figure this out. I noticed in that service bulletin that Chrysler lists a part number for an idle orifice tube to be replaced and had wondered how to address this.
