Fireball Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Hi there Since my newest puppy is an '46 D24 business coupe, I thought I need to sign up into this board as well. I have found some great info already, thanks for that. Short intro: I've been around old US tin here in northern Finland more than twenty years, built and owned several types of vehicles from drag race cars to rod & customs. While I'm waiting my Dodge to arrive from States, lets chat! Quote

Normspeed Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Welcome Fireball. Hmmm, Finland, shouldn't you be driving a 57? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Hello Fireball.....welcome. You will find help here with your old Dodge questions. Are there many 40s Dodges or Plymouths or other Chrysler products in Finland? Quote
eric wissing Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Welcome, It always amazes me that there are members all over world. It shouldn't but it does. Good Luck. Eric Quote
Fireball Posted March 8, 2007 Author Report Posted March 8, 2007 Thanks guys for the replys shel_bizzy-48: I will jam the server with pics later:D I like your car, mine is a bit modified towards streetrod/custom style, but not that much. Just skirts, visor, paint etc. minor. Drivetrain is all original. eric wissing: No worries, I'm still amazed how much the world has gotten smaller with internet for us auto enthusiasts BobT-47P15: Not many I can tell, after the WWII there was not that much Importing, and prewar vehicles were used in the war and destroyed pretty much. Anyhow the hobby of old cars is strong here, and we nowadays have thousands of veteran cars. But Dodge is among the rarest, I do not know any other 3w bigbutts than mine, but some 5w coupes we have. I have also '62 Dodge Lancer STW myself, that is not that common either Normspeed: Sorry my ignorance, didn't quite get that 57 part? Tank? 1947PLEVY: Thanks John Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 fins.....I think was the intended pun, the 57 was the first of the Mopes with tall fins at the rear. Quote
