westtexasrodder Posted July 18, 2010 Author Report Posted July 18, 2010 Are those wheels original? I like a lot those dogdish style hubcap and trim ring combos. No there not original, the car came with some rubber spoke rims from a monte carlo so I went out to the salvage yard and picked up some steelies and ordered the beauty rings and dogdish moons off of ebay. total the new rims cost about 100 for rims and trim Quote
westtexasrodder Posted July 18, 2010 Author Report Posted July 18, 2010 okay boys... I was so excited that the car was running right that I dropped her off to be painted today. A fresh coat of black high gloss paint and fender skirts should revive interest Quote
Flatie46 Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 If you did that here you'd probably lose interest in the car before you got it back. It's hard to get anybody to paint an old vehicle around here anymore, they just seem to want to do insurance work. I know a couple of very talented bodymen but I think they're getting burnt out, I try to learn from them when I can. Quote
westtexasrodder Posted July 18, 2010 Author Report Posted July 18, 2010 well i grew up in a body shop but just dont have the facility to paint right now. Luckily out here in BFE there are still alot of poor boy hot rodders and some trade work is still pretty cheap... Quote
maurice wade Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 Nice car, If you ever come through Elk City Ok. Give me a shout. M Quote

Tim Keith Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 I don't recall ever seeing a town sedan. I think it has the lines of a more expensive car of that era. That's a good looking car. Quote
