Has anyone here ever towed an older trailer like the one pictured above with there older rigs? I have two trailer towing hitch setups and one of which is an older UHaul hitch set up. I think my bumper will hold the weight but still would like to hear from someone who might have done this in the past or remembers a family car that there parents might have used on short vacations. Thanks

Ps. I have completed the outside trim and cleaned up the original paint somewhat to match my car and it should be interesting to show oft at car shows. Love that can-ham look!!!

I think Kai, who lives in Mexico, has a frame hitch similar to modern ones

on his 50 Plymouth.

Found a pic......

I have a receiver hitch on the 51 Suburban now and the one on the 54 Savoy...these are extremely well mounted, strong and not at all that noticable unless you get right down and look under the vehicle..basically out of sight and out of mind with the hitch itself removed from the receiver. These unit are affixed straigh to the frame rails at six points..The last unit as best I could tell by observing a vehicle in front of me one day it could be from a +/- 96 Nissan pickup..kinda hard to see the receiver
