I've dug and been able to find anything specific:

What is the best way to recolor the acrylic shaft at the base of the speedo needle? Green is there, but yellow and red have gone bye-bye. Is there a specific brand of pen/marker or dye that works the best?

I used Sharpies permanent markers.

Same here. Sharpies have enough color but not so much that it will stop the light.

Thanks all for the advice. The Sharpies worked great! Beautiful... out of the car. Speedo still doesn't work in the dash, though. I'll start troubleshooting next. I was forced to purchase a set of 12 Shapies in order to get a yellow one, so I have 9 Sharpie Permanent Markers for sale at a reasonable price.
