47 Chrysler Tours Winnipeg Beach Canada

Hey all, drove out to Winnipeg Beach on fabulous Lake Winnipeg (10th Largest Lake in the World).

The drive is about 20 miles from home, spent some time with the Kids and My Wife, then drove 30 miles to Selkirk Manitoba, to an A&W.

The ride was great , about temp 72, engine temp 170, speed 55 mph.

I was flagged down by a Gent who owns a 1940 New Yorler, had plenty of compliments on my car, one Old Dude actually called it Beautiful.

Here are some pics of the car, and the Lake at Winnipeg Beach......

Oh, man! You're gettin' me itchy to get mine going! Great pics! And I agree- that is a beautiful car. Salty's looks like a good place, too.

Fred, how is the oil pan holding up? And the rear end?

Leaks a few drops of oil here and there, have not replaced pinion seal, the diff leaks a tiny bit too. I will keep an eye on things until it can be repaired...........Fred

See there, Fred. Even though the car has it's shortcomings (at least

known to you) others think it's nice.:)

Thanks for the pictures.

Fred,

Thanks for sharing the photos of that great looking Chrysler, along with the scenery. I may never get to met you, but I get an idea of what the country looks like where you live.

Thanks again,

Bob

Bob, the grass gets nice and green the trees, are just leafing out now, and the flowers come to life soon.

That lake is gorgeous, these pics don't show the enormity of the lake or the total resort areas around it.....Fred

That pic of Salty's and the Chrysler could easily seem period in black and white. Looks like a fun outing. How do the kids like the old Chrysler??

They are so used to having an old car, it's not a novelty to them anymore. I drove the Chrysler, my Wfe went ahead with the SUV, and the kids with her. But we all drove around the Beach town in the old car. The SUV has the child seat and of course seat belts, although Hwy#9 traffic flows around 62 to 68 mph,or 100 to 110 kmh, it is 2 lane, and on a warm Sunday, very busy........Fred
