slicknapier Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 Been working on my rear airbag set up lately. Love it or hate it we all love pictures so here they are! Quote
faucet47custom Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 I love the way it sits when deflated, thats about what I want my D24 to sit like when she's posing for pictures. How hard was the frame notch setup to do, and where did you source the bags and compressor? Quote
rockable Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 Love it! I can't see from the pics but I assume it's a 4 link setup. Got any other pics that show the mounting points better? What kind of rear is that? Quote
slicknapier Posted April 9, 2010 Author Report Posted April 9, 2010 Yes it's a triangulated 4 link. For the bottom bars I used the stock leaf bracket in the front and made some tabs to weld to the original ubolt bracket. For the tops I just made some brackets for the axle and some box tubing to mount the front of the bars above the frame. It's the original rearend. I have two Viair 480 compressors, but will probably just use one. Also have a 5 gallon tank and all the switches and valves that I bought on ebay a few years ago for another project...I made my notches out of 2 x 4 box and it was kind of a pain because of how fat the frame is in front then more narrow at the rear. Also made them about 4-5 inches to tall. I set it up with the tires off and forgot to measure the distance before the tire hit the body I will take some more pics of the 4 link.. Quote
