mikesinky Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 anyone know where you can get 12v negative ground wipers for a b2b Quote
townwagon Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 As far as I know there are a few options: A: Buy an original 6 volt setup and have the motor rewound to 12 Volts. B: Buy an original 6 volt setup and step down the voltage before the motor. C: Find some 12 Volt motor of about the same size from some other application, and do whatever fabrication is needed to make it fit. The only problem I see with this option is that the 12 Volt motors I have seen mostly seem to work very differently. The motors are not of the same style, and may not fit in the same locations. D: Buy some universal hot rod kit and do whatever fabrication is needed to make it fit. Personally I like the first option the best, sure to fit, and you can get parts for everything but the windings from other PH trucks down the road if you ever have a problem. Plus it will look stock to everyone. Eric Quote

Just make sure the gearing is set up for the proper sweep. Mine didn't come preset and I had to put it in and take it out several times before I realized what was going on. Quote
townwagon Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 I have a good working used 1948-50 setup on E-bay, look at this link to see it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400109901744 This is tested and works on both speeds. I also have a working 1951-53 6 Volt 2 speed wiper setup listed for sale. Eric Quote
