Fireball Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Allrighty then it's finally ready. The seat and door panels were done in an upholstery school, and the rest of the panels, dash and headliner by me. I made a new glovebox and placed the radio there, and the last pic is the new rear and fresh pipes. Tomorrow I'll finish all the trunk panels. Quote
Tony Cipponeri Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Yeah, Looking good. Tony C Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Looks really nice. If you leave out the clock, you can reach thru the hole to tune the radio.......... Quote
Fireball Posted February 20, 2010 Author Report Posted February 20, 2010 Yeah Bob that was the intention;) I do have the original clock but I think the hole needs to be filled with the same series clock as the gauges are = Autometer Old Tyme. I also have to swap the speedo once again, I bought the cable driven version before decision to go with modern engine, and now that new tranny has only electric output... But how would I know what happens in a month since I'm not even certain of what I decide tomorrow:D Quote
mr63inaz Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 Are you running 2 sets of 2" blocks on rear?? or is that just a casting mark? Quote
Frank Elder Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 Are you running 2 sets of 2" blocks on rear?? or is that just a casting mark? If you look close it looks like 2 blocks stacked, maybe its the photo, but they can shift if stacked. Quote
LuckyDevil Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 Interior looks great. Only one little thing I would change......... get a longer shifter handle :D Quote
Fireball Posted February 21, 2010 Author Report Posted February 21, 2010 There's only one 3" block, pic fools your eye. Lucky what do you mean with shifter... Today I made rest of the trunk panels. Spare tire will get it's own jacket too and I'll make a hatch to that gas cap entry. Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Lucky what do you mean with shifter... The shifter is just great, just put an eightball on top not to hurt your hand. By the way, did you serve your military in the pioneer batallion? I've heard those guys have really long arms having carried the land mines in the wood for the elelven months of service. kind regards, pekka p.s. the interior is "groovy". congratulations! (=sincerely) Quote
Fireball Posted February 22, 2010 Author Report Posted February 22, 2010 Nope Pekka, I was a gunner in the Army, but you know I'm so close relative to Orangoutans that I'll reach that shifter without a sweat! Quote
