Dale Uhrich Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 I have a few questions I was wondering if anyone here has the answer to. Where do people get those small air cleaners you see on dual carb installations? Does anyone know what the production numbers might be on 1948,1949,& 1950 fargo pickups?? My 1950 Fargo pickup has a slightly different ss grill, should all three years use this grill? The Fargo trucks in the gallery don't all show this special grill. Quote
Rich Gengo Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Try Summit racing or Jegs for the air cleaners Quote
David Muma Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 My 1950 Fargo one ton has a stainless grill. Quote
Dale Uhrich Posted February 16, 2007 Author Report Posted February 16, 2007 I see your 1950 as well as mine has additional trim pieces in the center of the grill overtop of the ss grill bar. I was wondering if this is a 1950 item or if 1948 and 1949 also came that way. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Dale, That top trim piece is standard for 48-50 even if the main grill louver bars are painted. According to Don Bunn's book, the 48 and 49 had stainless grill bars, but in 50 they were painted with a cream pinstripe. That's how my '50 is. Maybe the Fargo's stayed with the stainless in '50.
