BobT-47P15 Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 This truck is for sale at a car lot here in Joplin......$1000. Nowhere near perfect, but not all so bad. Has original engine that "might" run if tinkered with, fellow says it's not stuck. Belonged to an old guy for many years till he finally got where he couldn't drive. Another person bought it, but never fixed it. Was traded in on a later model vehicle. Have some more pics in my album also. Best I could tell, not all so bad for rust. Link to the album....(other old trucks on there too) http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v96/BobT3/Old%20Trucks/ Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 46-48 Kaiser. Owned by a local person. Sold at an estate auction last year. Now has new gas tank (hence the new longer rear shackles), rechromed bumpers and grille, new radial wide whites. Will run and drive. Only $11,500. Needs minor body work and paint. Interior was redone several years ago.....still in pretty good shape. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 Over in Kansas. When I last checked, the lady owner did NOT want to sell the car. Was her father's. Guess the parents lived in the house, which is vacant. Ah, well........ Quote
PatS.... Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 The pilothouse has the center dash pod and floppy window winders from a '49 Chrysler. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 Figured someone would catch that real quick. Seller said someone told him it was from a DeSoto. I didn't tell him any different cause it doesn't really matter..... Quote
PatS.... Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 The floppy window winders are likely worth the same as the truck Quote
Young Ed Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Bob whats the deal with that plymouth pickup in your album(BTW its a 41)? Quote
thedahmer Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Bob, for $1000 that is not a bad price at all I don't think , where is the thing located?? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 At a used car lot on E 7th St here in Joplin. If interested, call Shawn at (417) 625-1470. (Can't read my writing real well....might be 76 instead). The truck was maybe last licensed in 1966. Quote
Allan Faust Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 Well, I for one would love to have it, if I'd have the money, the space, the time, and if it would be closer to here..... guess I'll have to stick with my 50 and wait for a truck...... Allan Quote
thedahmer Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 Don't like the pod----Bob, how are the floors? did it look like alot of mud in the front end? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 14, 2007 Author Report Posted February 14, 2007 Gary, the pod would definitely have to go. Guess it shows imagination on the part of previous owner. Which type of mud do you mean.....the dirt kind or the body filler kind??? Quote
