My son has a '68 Chevy one ton daulie, 292 with four speed with a very low geared rearend. He took the rear out the other night to see if he could figure out just what the gearing is.

Is this photo good enough to get an idea for you guys that may be familiar with the Chevy trucks?

He would like to update the rearend to make it more of a "Driver"

On the mopar rearends the ratio is stamped on the edge of the ring gear. I'd wipe that off carefully and take a look all the way around it.
