Hey detail painting the badges and hubcaps ain't so easy. The badges are not too bad, but the hubcaps with Chrysler written on them is not that easy to paint, having fun with this. How have some of you painted these items for your cars, how can I get the best results on the painting, with nice clean crisp lines.......Thanx Fred

I hand paint the lettering. Don't worry about going outside the lines. You can take a paper towel and spray brake clean on it and wipe the excess off carefully. The lettering is sunk down below the surface just enough. Hope this helps.

Thanx Guys, I will try the wiping off with either brake fluid or lacquer thinner on the excess.

How long should I wait to wipe off the excess around the lettering Tom?........Thanx Fred

Give it about 10 minutes then wipe lightly with a bit of BRAKE CLEAN not brake fluid.

I have very good results by just letting my sloppy painting dry, then let a razor blade just slid across the high area.

They look good, Fred! Well done!

*Two thumbs up*

Thanx, there okay, good enough for my Driver car that's for sure, not show quality by no means.

I want to polish these hubcaps and my stainless steel trim parts out at some point too.....

I've been using a Testor's paint marker pen for the red on my car.

Has a chisel style felt tip, similar to a magic marker.

I usually remove excess paint with thinner or mineral spirits.

Can find 'em at WalMart or hobby stores.
