When I took the front seat out, I noticed that under the back part was some rough feeling material that sort of resembles hogs hair. Looks as if it was originally placed there as to protect the seat from backseat passenger's shoes or something. What I'm wondering is if this was the same material used for the carpeting in the back, since it seems very durable. Does anyone have any knowledge of this stuff? Can it still be purchased?

That IS hogshair carpeting --sams as used for floormats in back area of

P-15s. It is probably there to protect rear seat passengers shoes from

scuffing. It is availiable in various colors from Bill Hirsh.

I agree with Frank on this one. I still had good carpeting in the rear corners. That's the same material and it is in case people put their feet up there.

Thanks, Frank and Norm. How do I get a hold of Bill Hirsh? Man, I didn't realize how many former hippies we had leftover from the 60's and early-70's on here. Far out! ;)

But, seriously, perhaps one could simply use some of the carpet that will be on the floor. That way it would match.

It looks like it might have to be that way. Is there anything that is new that looks close to that stuff?
