Hi all haven't been on the forum for a while. I need to know if anyone has had the original radio restored in their Plymouth. I'm looking to have a radio restored in a 47 plymouth Special Deluxe,or purchase a working radio. Jerome

I had mine done by a guy out in Oregon. I can get the name if you need it. He replaced all the capacitors (which I am told are usually the main problem) and cleaned it. Works great! I believe the charge was $190.00 plus shipping. If you check on ebay, he usually has some for sale already reconditioned and they go for about what I paid for mine to be repaired.

I have an 802 radio that I purchased as a reconditioned unit a long time ago, was working just fine when I converted the car to 12V. I have another dead radio that I have reconditioned cosmetically that I will convert to a digital AM/FM unit for my car.

Make a reasonable offer and pay shipping and I'll throw in a complete set of spare tubes that I never had to use.
