Plymouthy Adams Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 an electric fan will make even further demands on your already taxed system...I trust this in regard to your AC install.. Quote
p24-1953 Posted November 13, 2009 Author Report Posted November 13, 2009 dont worry tim i have seen the light. if you notice you will see that i have aksed questions about upgrading to 12v and what i will need to do to the amp meter in dash Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 that is good..there are more than the GM one wire option..heck there is even a Mopar one wire out there from what I read yesterday... as for the amp guage...you have two major options here..upgrade to a larger capacity but this is unlikely to match so throw that sucker out...or parallel another one to the inside of the engine compartment and fuse both at 45 amp circuit breakers ..that way you have an indication of current drain anytime the hood is up...it doubles the amperage capacity by splitting the laod between the two..the fuse will protect both individually should for any unlikely event one should open..the actual reading on the dash unit will be 1/2 of your total draw..the circuit breaker will auto reset..
