desoto1939 Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 To all of you dodge truck owners. I just received an email regarding that there will be an auction for a 1954 Dodge 5 window pickup. I only have seen 1 side view of the truck. It has been repainted green. It looks to to be in great shape but can not really tell from the single picture. If I bid on the truck what is a good price and also what should I be looking at to help determine a fair price? Where should i look for defects that you all might know that happen over the years with all of your experience? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Rich Hartung Desoto1939@aol.com Quote
Jim Gaspard Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Hey Rich, I don't usually venture over to the car side often, but GTK's announcement today drew me over here out of curiosity. You might want to venture over to the truck side and re-post your question. Most of us over there are B-Series truck owners, and your prospective truck is clearly a C-Series which was first introduced in 1954 with many body style changes. Also, this was the first year of a V-8 power plant in Dodge Pilothouse trucks. There is a great looking 1954 C-Series truck on e-Bay right now that would be a good benchmark for condition and price. It appears to be in great shape, but price yet undecided until the auction ends.
