My wife got groceries yesterday morning so Cooper and I decided to go for a ride in the Plymouth, here are some photos. Just past where these photos were taken the road becomes narrower and stone and chipped with a rather steep decent, I shifting into second and the old girl acted flawlessly:)

How you doing 40 Plymouth, looks like a great place to drive.

Is that the car your Son painted, looks good, glad to see you posting on here.......Fred

Yes, he painted it in 2000 using Rustoleum Teal. it was one of his first paint jobs, it has held up rather well, but is beginning to show wear. I will keep it that way until she really needs another paint job as I am pleased that the car was one of his first attempts at painting.

Thanks for the kiind comments, but the old Plymouth looks better at 50 ft or 50 mph, but I am very pleased with her and sure do enjoy driving my "time machine"

Here is another photo that I took yesterday on one of the back roads here in the Catskill Mountains. The old school house dates back to the 1850's. It is now used as a hunting camp.

Notice my co-pilot watching me:)

Hope everyone has a good day,

Bob

My Dad came over this morning, ( he is almost 83) and he wanted to go for a ride, I asked him if he minded going in the Plymouth, he smiled and told me not at all, so him, Cooper, our "mini Cooper", and I fired up the old Plymouth, put about 20 miles on this trip. Here are a few of the photos. So far this season I have driven the old Plymouth just over 1700 very pleasurable miles:)

That is the best reason to own an old car, any old car. Just the pure fun of driving a piece of history down some nice older roads on a pleasant day. Fortunately, I have several smaller paved roads nearby that I drive on most days and I am not afraid of the gravel roads either.
