Bobacuda Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 The front, right hub on my B-4-B is bad (innner bearing and cone will fall out if you turn it sideways). This got me to wondering what other hub/brake drums will fit my truck. Will a Dodge car hub (same era) interchange? Anyone got a Hollander's handy? Thanks, Bob Quote
sarampey Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 Restoring a 52 1/2 ton pickup. I have a parts truck (?53 or 54) I don't need the front hub or drum. Diameter is 11 inches. Will be willing to part with it. What I do need is a rear drum for the 52 I am restoring. For some reason the lug pattern is a little different between my 52 and the clunker parts truck I have. Maybe the parts truck is a little heavier duty. If you are interested I could make photo for you to see if it would fit yours. I have either left or right side. If you know where there is a rear drum which may fit my 52, I would appreciate the info. S Rampey Quote
Merle Coggins Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 1/2 ton trucks have a 5 x 4 1/2" wheel bolt pattern, and used wheel bolts. 3/4 ton trucks have a 5 x 5" wheel bolt pattern and used studs and nuts. Also, as I recall, the 1/2 ton trucks have 10" brakes up front whereas the 3/4 ton trucks have 11" brakes. Merle Quote
