townwagon Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Guys, I just had a tool made to remove the wiper switch nut on 1948-53 Dodge trucks. These fit the two slots in the nut perfectly so the nut can be removed without damage to the chrome. It works on both vacuum and electric wiper motor switches. I have had a heck of a time over the years trying to get the wiper switch nuts off without damage, as pliers scratch them up, and they are often too tight to remove with finger strength. I have field tested this tool on large number of switches and it worked perfectly on all of them. Check them out at the link below. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400062681772 Let me know if you have any questions, Eric Quote
Bradley S. Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 Eric; The knob nut removal tool works like a champ. Saved me a ton of time and didn;t scratch the finish at all. Nice job! I also bought a wiper nut tool earlier this week. Brad Quote
Merle Coggins Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 I also recently purchased both tools from Eric. Since my truck is done (for the time being) I didn't really need them, but why pass up a chance at a couple of new tools. Now I just need to put them where I won't loose them. Merle Quote
townwagon Posted July 29, 2009 Author Report Posted July 29, 2009 Glad to hear the tool worked well for you Brad. Thanks to both of you for your business! I was using both tools this week pulling parts in a junkyard, and I really enjoyed having them. It saves me so much time, and gets the nuts off without damage. Ever since I made these I have been kicking myself for not making them years ago. Eric Quote
