Sounded like a good night! Couldn't make it, my first day back where I couldn't spread strep throat. Can't believe it rained by you! Gorgeous all night over here!

Just out of curiosity, before the days of a/c would you just stay home and not drive anywhere? ;):P j/k! The humidity has been crazy the last three days. For a brief moment yesterday I actually wished it was October!

I wanted to add the j/k notation as to be sure to not offend! Humor has to be carefully crafted, but I'm clumsy when I'm ill!

Hi Norm,

Where was this cruise? Is it a weekly event?

Norm, sounds like a good time, and some real nice cars:).

Now going to a Cruise-in with your modern day vehicles:confused:, isn't that like going Camping at the "Holiday Inn".

The fun is in the Drive Norm, Old Cars are not a spectators sport, especially when you own one:D..............Fred ps I know sometimes when it's real hot, I get a lilttle nervous:eek: about driving the old car

Actually, my van almost qualifies at this cruise in. It's for all cars 20 years old or older. Six more years and it will qualify.:D I don't worry about the car going in the hot weather. It always starts and goes ok. Just don't like riding in it when it's that hot.

As for camping at a Holiday Inn or some other hotel, isn't that the only way to go.:D:cool: I've only slept in a tent twice in my life out in the woods. First time was in basic training in the Army at Ft. Knox for a week. Second time was about 2 years later while stationed at Granite City, IL. The whole base went to Ft. Leonardwood, MO for a week of field exercises. That's when I said; "Hey, this isn't my kind of Army". I then set on quest to find someone to get a stateside swap of duty stations back to Ft. Knox and a unit that didn't go to the field.:D Found a guy who worked in the office at Ireland Hospital at Ft. Knox that was from the St. Louis area. So.........we traded duty stations. . After that, never had to spend a day in the field at any other duty station either for the other 4 years I spent in the Army.:D I let other people go camping in the rough, then they can tell me about it.:D[/quote']

Norm, the Army Infantry does field training in Canada in winter at times, sleeping in tents, I beilieve its -30 for the cut-off, then no tents, buit until -30 they will be sleeping in tents, outside, thats when a warm bed seems the most important thing in life.........
