aero3113 Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Anyone know what year they started using stainless instead of pot metal for the rear fender stone guards? The ones that I have on my 50 Plymouth are pot metal. Also do the mounting studs on the stainless match the mounting studs on the pot metal ones? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 May have simply been which manufacturer the guards were made by, since there appear to be some from each material. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 1952 plymouth's were all factory stainless-51's were diecast and tied into the rocker moulding. 52's did not tie in to the rocker moulding. Western Auto suppied cheap aftermarket stainless rocker mouldings and stone guards. Bob Quote
