you're right, it won't. sad..... *snif* well, maybe it isn't broken at all... even if it doesn't move now, i can still try lubricating, i guess.

and now for some research, i'm sure i read something about what oil type to use and stuff like that somewhere on this board:cool:

i really hope i can get the speedo back to work!

the crack stays, as a tribute to the car's great patina.

now i only need some of the knobs (some were in the glove box in pieces, i'll

glue them back on). what does this throttle thingy do exactly? is it for tuning the throttle leverage or just for raising the idle speed?

Maybe if you take the speedometer out, you might be able to repair it yourself.

Other than unhooking the speedo cable and the four little screws on the housing, it comes right out

When I was removing mine for the Plymouth, the hardest part was getting myself situated under the steering wheel and dash to do so:(:(
