mikesinky Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 hey i need to know what to use to glue the glass to the frames on my b2b the vent glass and the window reg. has anyone done this? seemed like it had a gasket or something in there but i cant remember the glass man took them out but didnt install the new glass back in...thanks Quote
Merle Coggins Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 You need glass setting tape. It is a thin rubber strip that wraps around the glass edge and holds it tight into the channel. Your glass guy should have access to it. Otherwise you can get some from Restoration Specialties www.restorationspecialties.com Merle Quote
villageidiot Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 While on this topic, did all pilothouse trucks come with vent glass??? My 51 3/4 ton doesn't have any - probably ripped out at some time. Just trying to figure if I leave as is or need to do something to restore to original. Thanks. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 There were 3 different cab options. The Standard cab had no vent glass in the doors and no rear corner glass. The Deluxe cab had both vent glass in the doors and the rear corner glass. The Custom cab also had vents and corner glass, and also had dual sun visors and electric wipers. The doors can be converted between one solid glass to roll up glass with vent glass if you have all of the necessary pieces. Quote
