Bob_Koch Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 It's always fun to find our trucks with outrageous prices. Makes me believe I could actually make money on mine (if I ever finish it). First time I've see a pilothouse as a Concours d’ Elegance winner. http://http://luxury-imports-online.ebizautos.com/detail-1948-dodge-pickup_truck-1_2_ton-3029424.html Quote
Reg Evans Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Hey, did factory stake sides have long running boards and rear fenders? I don't think so. Neat truck though. Quote
Allen I. Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 I thought we saw this one before. I still think it looks odd at half the price. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=10089&highlight=stake Quote
Bob_Koch Posted April 24, 2009 Author Report Posted April 24, 2009 You're right allen, it was for sale on ebay . That was 2 years ago. The dealer is still trying to sell it at the same price. But now he has an award to go with it.Guess that makes it worth it. Quote
Tony WestOZ Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Nice looking truck. Would this style of 108 truck would be pretty rare in the US, most of the 108`s I have seen are the pick up style back. In Australia the stake bed trucks (called tray tops here) used the long running boards from 48 to 52. We did not use the rear fenders though. Ian in QLD truck is a great example of this. Just realised, for the price you would think it would have the right mirror arm. Quote
MBF Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 If I remember from the last time we saw this there were "detail" type issues with this truck. I'll sell mine for a qtr of what he's asking and go buy two more! Mike Quote
