Don Coatney Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Reg; In your stash of parts do you by chance have a vacuum pot as pictured? Quote
Reg Evans Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Don, I have two nos Autolites that someone has marked as fitting 41-42 & 46-48 DeSoto but the arm that pulls on the point plate is curved. Yours appears to be straight. One box is marked 6-32 (VC-2082R) and then hand written is A1315. Then there is a third Autolite marked (VC-1039-A)...hand written VC102 and 6-21 but it's arm is curved too. EDIT.....hang on, I found this one with dual points that looks the same and holds a vacuum with my tongue. Pooee....that tasted bad. Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 22, 2009 Author Report Posted April 22, 2009 Thanks for looking Reg; My arm has a very slight bend. I have found that there are 3-4 different vacuum pots for the various flathead distributors. Some are long with a kink in the end, some long and bent, some short with very little bend. Guess I need to get the distributor number and see what I can find. Just red the hold on. Thanks for the tongue test. Give me a price and send it my way. I will PM my address. Quote
Reg Evans Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Yeah, it would be best to find a nors one with a fresh diaphragm. Let me know what you find out cause I think my dual point one is the same as yours. Quote
James_Douglas Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Don, I had to custom make the arm on the dizzy I did for you. If it ever goes...send it to TERRILL MACHINE for rebuilding... James Quote
