Ideas for running board replacements

Hello everyone, I own a 1950 Panel. I am tackling the finishing stages of this truck to get it running before summer. It has been modified from original only where it was necessary. My running boards are both in one piece, but there would not much to work with after they met the sandblaster. So I am considering any and all alternate ideas, even using newer styles of running boards if they would fit the lines of the truck. Any advice would be appreciated.

Bebops Glassworks makes reproduction runningboards in fiberglass. I don't have any experience with their running boards, but I got my rear fenders from them. I can tell you that they make a quality product.
